Catherine recently moved to Portland, Oregon. When not touring, she indulges a newfound passion for growing vegetables. In 2008 she drove 12,000 miles with her husband-to-be in a 1990 Mazda 323 called Swansong playing more than 40 planned and impromptu shows in dens, livingrooms and gardens all over the United States.

Previous to arriving in Portland, Catherine lived for several years in Norfolk, England, releasing her second album to critical acclaim. “‘Hurricane Glass’ is one of those albums that soothes the listener into quietude… and only then coils its complications and ambiguities around you,” wrote Dain Cairns in the The Sunday Times.

After being picked up for the film “Running with Scissors,” and featured in “The O.C.,” the album’s lightning-rod track “Mr. Blue” reached the A-list at Britain’s most listened-to radio station, BBC Radio 2. Catherine toured the British Isles extensively, both as a headline act and in support of such artists as Martha Wainwright, Kelly Jones (The Stereophonics) and The Indigo Girls.

Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Catherine took guitar lessons at a local music shop, learning Led Zeppelin and The Cure covers, while also studying classical vocal techniques at Settlement Music School. Her love for popular music won out and in high school she joined a punk 4-piece called LAMPshADe that played at Philadelphia institutions J.C. Dobbs and the Khyber Pass.

After college, Catherine moved to Los Angeles and found her place in a burgeoning singer-songwriter scene. In 2003, she recorded a sparse self-titled debut with artist/producer Joe Purdy, which found an enthusiastic audience in Americana circles in Europe as well as America.

That same year, a performance at premiere LA acoustic club The Hotel Cafe caught the eye of English artist/producer Sebastian Rogers. Rogers became so enamored of her songs, that he offered to produce her second album. They made the album, titled “Hurricane Glass,” entirely on credit. Luckily, it paid off.

“Hurricane Glass” was picked up by EMI, but after a corporate takeover at the company, Catherine was dropped from the label. Her third album, “People in the Hole ” in hand, she moved back to the States to function as a singer-songwriter outside of the major-label machine. The pre-release edition of “People in the Hole” has sold out. The album will be available in wider release as of June 25, 2010.

One-Woman band Natalie Ross is a sassy and eccentric pop artist who will have you salivating in your seat, well that’s if your not up ‘n’ …dancing already. Her finely crafted songs and recordings, all written, produced, arranged and performed by her ladyship, take an acoustic guitar, kooky vocal style and barbershop style harmonies to a surprisingly accessible sound. Natalie’s live performance brings new depths with her innovative use of technology. She converses an electrifying twist to homemade and DIY.

Gareth Candidate

Candidates is a band consisting of Christian and Gareth, who have been best friends pretty much since the beginning of time. There’s only two of them, but they still bring the noise and the rock. The band have supported artists such as Pete Doherty, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Copy Haho, Sam Isaac, Tubelord, Cats and Cats and Cats, Rupert And The Robbers, Wonderswan, Luke Leighfield, Blakfish, Tired Irie, A Genuine Freakshow, The X Why, The New Vinyls, Midnight Mile, Jim Lockey, Joe Summers, Divine Secret and Irritant. For this show Gareth will be playing an acoustic set.

Pete Taylor

Pete Taylor is a singer songwriter hailing from the South West of England. Pete has been writing and performing contemporary acoustic tracks since 1996. Recent winner of the 2007 BBC Gloucestershire solo folk performer award.

Day 12: We set of early and arrived in Amsterdam not long after noon. The gig was at an Irish Bar near the centre of the city. The band played three short sets to an audience of locals, Irish ex-pats and English tourists.

Day 10: Today marked the first of two gigs in Germany, with a gig in Hannover lined up tomorrow. We arrived in Berlin in the afternoon and ate at the venue – White Trash Fast Food. The gig was a seated show, so there was no dancing, but the audience enjoyed the show and we enjoyed the Weissbeer!

When we arrived at Tundergyar the bar staff cooked us some traditional Hungarian food, which tasted so good! The venue was fantastic, with a real DIY feel – littered with unmatched chairs, cool graffiti and exposed brickwork. The club soon got busy and the crowd loved Thrill Collins, cheering every song. We chatted with many of the fans after the gig and lots of people bought our tour t-shirts.

Day six: A few band members woke up nursing hang-overs this morning after an amazing night at The Jekyll in Chamonix. We set off around lunch time and took a quick stop at the France-Italy border for a photo opportunity. We arrived at TNT club in the evening and were treated to some Italian pizza before playing a gig to a local crowd.

Day seven: Today was our longest drive, so we set of early to make the trip to Croatia. We still made time to stop at the Mediterranean and enjoyed a swim, despite several of us suffering injuries at the hands of rocks and barnacles! We set up the kit at Spunk bar in Zagreb but in the end the band played most of the gig acoustically to an audience gathered outside… we don’t blame them, it’s hot in here!

Day two: The band drove across the UK to the idyllic countryside in Kent. We had a rare night off from gigging so used the opportunity to practice a few songs on the campsite.

Day three: We caught an early morning ferry to Calais and drove down to Paris. The afternoon was spent busking before playing an evening show at Belushi’s Bar in Paris.

Day four: In the morning we made the trip in to the centre of Paris and got some photos of the band under the Eiffel Tower. Check out the pictures on the Thrill Collins facebook page. We then drove South to Limoges and stopped for a swim in a lake before playing a private party at a lovely countryside house. The hospitality was fantastic and we met Joel, one of our youngest fans!

They would like provide busking slots over the lunchtime to support the event and entertain the crowd so we need a couple of performers who are happy to play for an hour on either of these dates.
