In a stunning coup, we’ve also managed to bag THE Subtone piano-man to begin proceedings. He’s played everywhere from New York to the Caribbean and tonight he plays for us and you. Again, if you’ve seen this man play before you’ll know exactly what’s in store and why we’re so excited to have him on the bill. This is your excuse to get there early – no excuses.

Featuring a SHAMELESS night of covers, hedonism and genre twisting nonsense we are up for partying like Andrew WK/ George Best/ Slurms McKenzie (RIP) would want us to. If we’re in the mood we may even subsidise Jagerbombs again this year…

The evening will also feature the last ever appearance of Vic Fairley on guitar for Cotswolds Best Party Band “Wishful Thinking”. If you’ve heard a better guitarist, then it’s Van Halen. Hold us to that on the night if you think that’s indulgent hyperbole.

We will also say that amongst other surprises there will be treats, sweets and probably meats for all who enter. It’ll be £3 entry with a possible reduction if you come dressed as something ridiculous/ slutty. We’ll pay for your drinks all night if you’re the only one there in fancy dress too. All proceeds will go towards a project that is being put together to help mutually benefit all interests on our local music scene. Too many details can be provided, if requested.

Shortly after arriving at the BBQ grill, Thrill Collins were accidentally thrust into what felt like an episode of Oprah; a guy proposed to his girlfriend and she accepted to rapturous applause, whooping and various other celebratory devices. The night was rounded off with several delicious beers at McSorley’s Old Ale house on East 7th St: sawdust, a choice of two drinks and boozed up Manhattanites – a definite recommend!

This evening Thrill Collins are playing at Goodbye Blue Monday in Brooklyn. The show is going to be streamed online, so fans all around the world can tune in to see the show. The band are playing at midnight US time (5am UK time). For those of you who aren’t early birds, the video will be available after the performance. Now, we will finish our coffees whilst watching hour long Spanish infomercials about Bose stereos and the plight of the Mexican Reindeer before going off for photos!

Following a successful European tour earlier this year, British ska-skiffle and all round jazz trio Thrill Collins are embarking on their inaugural American tour this November. It is here that the band wish to spread their infectious 80’s and 90’s inspired message across the world following a year of great successes.
