The Retrospective Soundtrack Players are possibly the world’s only concept-country/folk/pop band.

They create new soundtracks to their favourite cult films and books – their first major album release is ‘Cool Hand Luke’, released by Xtra Mile Recordings in April 2011.

The band formed in late 2010 and a split 7” with Frank Turner which saw their songs featured on BBC Radio 2, 6 Music and XFM before they had played a gig. Since then they have toured the UK alongside The Walkmen, Frank Turner, The Agitator, Chris T-T and many others.

In 2012 the band will continue to take their all energy live show around the country while working on their next project, songs based on ‘The Catcher in the Rye’.
